LIFE IS EXTRAORDINARY

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 30, 2009

Some will look at others thinking they are doing nothing.
When they are actually doing extraordinarily everything,

Nothing “matters”.
Only that which you make “matter”.

YOUR ONE AND ONLY THOUGHT

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 29, 2009

Everything one ‘does’ one ‘thinks’ about doing
Everything is ‘thought’ created
Cleanse your mind, remove fear.
Nothing exists where your mind is not.
Turn yourself inside out.
Choose what you desire, may the rest be forgot.
And may love be your one and only thought.

WHAT I SEE

I am not here to tell anyone what to think or believe
I am here to share what I ‘see’.

BREAK THE SPELL

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on

“Do not believe on the strength of traditions

Even if they have been held in honour,

For many generations and in many places.

Do not believe anything because many people speak of it.

Do not believe on the strength of sages of old times.

Do not believe that which you have yourselves imagined, thinking that a god has inspired you.

Believe nothing which depends only on the authority of your masters or of priests.

After investigation, believe that which you have yourselves tested and found reasonable,
And which is for your good and that of others.”

Gautama Buddha

THE SWALLOWS

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 28, 2009

A MOVING STORY OF LOVE AND SORROW.

His partner is injured and the condition is fatal.
She was hit by a car as she swooped low across the road.

He brought her food and attended to her with love and compassion.

He brought her food again but was shocked to find her dead.
He tried to move her….a rarely-seen effort for swallows!

Aware she is dead and will never come back to him again
He cries.

And Cries …. (as do I)

Finally aware that she would never return to him,
He stood beside her body with sadness and sorrow.

It is said that millions of people cried after watching this picture
In America, Europe and even in India.
It is said that the photographer sold these pictures for a nominal fee
to the most famous newspaper in France.
All copies of that newspaper were sold out on the day these pictures were published.

This came to me in an email and I too, was so deeply moved
And could see many parallels to our human life

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if those millions of people who cried
After watching and reading this story realized
How many people are dying and suffering
At the unmercy of starvation, homelessness and wars alone?
Let us take our tears for the swallows
And unite them for PEACE and put an end to suffering and killing
All those who wear uniforms come home.
There is no enemy unless your mind is willing.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 25, 2009

“I can’t believe that!” said Alice.
“Can’t you?” the Queen said in a pitying tone.
“Try again, draw a long breath and shut your eyes.”

Alice laughed.

“There’s no use trying,” she said: “one can’t believe impossible things.”
“I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen.
“When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day.
Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast”

Lewis Carroll

YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 21, 2009

I know I have not been the best friend to you
But I have also not been the best friend to me.
I wish for you to know how deeply I do care
As I continue to find my own way.
When you get hit so many times from the one who says they love you
And I know I have done the same to you as well
And I am not talking about a fist in the face
I am talking about the power of words that carry an even greater weight
At some point someone has to stop
So we can both be good to each other and ourselves
And the rest will take care of itself.

IT IS OUR TIME TO LIVE

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 15, 2009

What is happening in the world is happening
Because people have first been sold the lie that we have an enemy.
Then people put on uniforms and go to war
People got hung up in a spinning whirlpool

People have lost touch with what it is like to be truly free
Flowing in a river or just floating in an ocean
Their every breath has a cost to pay
In order to enjoy their two week holiday

They have forgotten that life is not about surviving
It is about living
And it is time to remove the cause that put humanity in prison

It is not something outside but the very mind within
It is time to disgard the trash and throw it all away
It is time to be simple in a most humane way

The only thing that matters right here and right now
Is not the seconds ticking by on any given day
But the moment that stands still

Look into each others eyes and never let go.
Even though you move away, hold onto the vision.
The understanding, the depth of what is beyond the eye in sight.
It is the light of day, flying through the night.

Remember the power sits in what you know
Collectively we are the formidable resistance
Free your minds and hold onto this persistence
It is boundless in the infinities of below and above
It is the only strength one needs in the power of love.

CLOSE THE GAP

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 12, 2009

“The gap in our economy is between what we have
And what we think we ought to have –
And that is a moral problem, not an economic one.”

Paul Heyne

APPALLINGLY CLEAR

It has become appallingly clear
That our technology has exceeded our humanity.

WHEN I LOOK

When I look
I see more than I can relay
When I listen
I understand more than I can say.

CHANGE DIRECTION

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on March 10, 2009

“I am on a path that is opening my eyes to truth with every blink
Concrete walls towering above the soft soil beneath my feet
People scurrying just trying to get enough to eat
Panic and fear seems all the rage
I see a way out and that is to turn the page.

Nothing exists where our attention is not
A newspaper clipping can say anything it wants
Yet means nothing if not being watched.

Look me in the eye, have you forgotten I am here?
People have been divided, it is time to make it clear
Without governments or contracts for there is no need
The way to peace is really quite easy.

Nature is crying and so is humanity
It might seem chaotic, yet, is our great awakening
Take responsibilty for the deeds one has done
The time is now for forgiveness and love.
And I’m not talking about the 60’s or flower power
I am speaking of the might that is all of us in the final hour.

The world is my family and all of existence too
We are not seperate and must break the divides that attempt to rule
Break the chords that bind our minds
Break the chains to our ancestrial ties
Be the ones to put an end to war right here and now
For the generations of children to come
For us all to live in a world
Of Freedom.

A virus only survives if fed.

Buying the lies feeds it.
Putting on uniforms feeds it.
Fighting feeds it.
War feeds it.
Seperation feeds it.
Destructive thoughts and behaviours feeds it.

STOP Feeding It.
Change your mind, change your thoughts, Feed Peace.

MAKE THEM LAUGH

Posted in: Quotes & Poetry by Pamela on

If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they’ll kill you.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication
