SONG: THE SOUND OF SILENCE ~ 4:07 minutes of …

I’d like to share a story that recently happened … I was in a local grocery store walking down the main isle with the many other aisles to the right … a young girl about seven was in front of me, in front of her was her Mother, who stopped at the bread counter. I was just behind the child who stopped and backed up into me. Both Mother and child were wearing masks … I was not.

Of course I cushioned the touch ~ looked down as her eyes were filling with tears looking at her Mother ~ but I was looking at this beautiful young girl now standing to my left, Mother to my right, as Mother said: “it is because she got in trouble earlier for doing that”.

I immediately knew what she meant. It was because she is being told to stay six feet away from her own Mother and everyone else.

My heart sank, I could not … speechless as it happened very quickly and smoothly. Child was trying to obey but backed into me. This young girl was soooooo … to describe the utter fright and terror in her eyes.

I leaned over and held that child, embraced her in my arms so gently, whispering in her ear ‘it’s okay darling, it’s okay, I am okay, and so are you, I love you so much.’  Her tiny head was nodding yes as we were cheek to cheek. Then stood up and continued walking down the aisle … I felt so connected to that wee girl.

I turned around again they were walking my way, the girl never took her eyes off me, nor mine to her. The Mother turned down another isle as I blew a kiss, holding my hands to my heart, saying to the child in a whisper through the air ‘I love you’. She nodded her head ‘yes’, then turned down the isle, walking six feet as much as she knew how to, behind her Mother.

I wanted that child to know in some way … that ‘yes’ it is all crazy, and she is not alone.

Sorry people, but anyone who thinks wearing masks is healthy, let alone putting them on children, is taking orders from an unknown Fuhrer without question. This is abuse in my view. Wake up humanity for the love of life.

If someone can make you believe an absurdity,

you are then cabable of committing an atrocity.
