WHICH WOLF WILL YOU FEED?
Posted in: The Observation Deck by Pamela on July 27, 2009
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life.
“A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. It is between two wolves.
One is evil
He has anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
One is good
He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence,
empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
The same is going on inside you - and inside every other person.
I now have great pity for those that take so much with no sorrow for what they do.
Hate wears you down. It is like taking poison and wishing another would die.
Many struggle with this, I understand.
The grandson thought about it for a minute and asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf will win?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”
